MASSterList and the State House News Service hosted a policy forum Monday focused on addressing Massachusetts’ healthcare workforce challenges. Sponsored by Johnson & Johnson, the event brought together more than 175 business, healthcare, and community leaders, as well as public officials.
This program featured a keynote from David Seltz, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Health Policy Commission, followed by an industry panel with Isha Williams, Global Lead for Healthcare Workforce Strategy & Programs, Global Health Equity at Johnson & Johnson; Dr. Elisa Choi of the Massachusetts Medical Society; Steve Walsh, President and CEO of the Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association; and Hiyam Nadel, Director of the Center for Innovations in Care Delivery at Massachusetts General Hospital. The program concluded with a legislative panel featuring Sen. Cindy Friedman, Senate Chair of the Joint Committee on Health Care Financing, and Rep. John Lawn, House Chair of the Joint Committee on Health Care Financing.
